Another one of this week's assignments is to design the masthead for my magazine. This assignment was a little hard for me to do because I have no idea what font I want to use. However, whether it is a fashion or business magazine, all of them have simple fonts that are easy to read. I have tried to get inspiration from other magazines and went through tons of fonts and here's what I cam up with:

Inspiration:

As you can see all of these mastheads are written in simple and readable fonts. They aren't in fancy cursive or fancy lettering which can get hard to read and get lost in the cover. I think the simple font is the way to go because it will become a staple for my magazine and I don't want it to get lost on the cover.

I think these are my final and top choices that I have to chose from, which will be difficult but I want to keep the simple theme continuous.

Masthead Designs:

 After much deliberating I think I will be choosing between choices 2, 3, and 6. I think I am leaning more towards choice 3 but 6 I also like. I think 2 would be something different, but I want the fonts to stay continuous throughout the magazine so I don't think I will choosing that.

Final Choices:

In the end, I think it will be between choice 3 and 6 for my magazine masthead. Additionally, for the colors I will keep it black or white, depending on the background because I want to maintain a simplistic theme.
