Model Choices

This week's assignment is to plan out our project and actually start working on building it. So for one of my post's this week I decided to work on my models and decide who's going where. I already have a set 4 models that I plan to use in my magazine, so here's more about them:

Nadir

Age:22

Education: Currently getting his bachelor degree at FAU

Owner of RARE- Shoe store in Pembroke Mall

Owner of @Broward.Kicks- Instagram Account 

I decided to make Nadir the cover of my magazine and the star of my feature article because he has literally built his business from the ground up just with his hard work. Also, he is only 22 years old. With managing his business he also is studying for his bachelors at Florida Atlantic University in which he graduates this year. He is the perfect model for my magazine because he is the definition of a prodigy and success. Additionally, he is not done growing yet, he wants to open his store in other malls to create a chain, and soon he will be in every mall in the US. 

Shayan

Age: 19

Education: Getting his bachelor's at Ivy League: University of Pennsylvania

Major: Finance

I decided to chose Shayan as one of my model's because he has worked very hard to get into UPENN. I have seen him go through high school and there was not one day where he had nothing to do. From starting the debate club to hosting a protest for BLM, there's nothing that he hasn't done in just his high school career. Since my magazine also caters to a lot of 16-19 year olds who are also high schoolers, I think Shayan is the perfect candidate as the audience will be able to relate to him.

Mahek

Age: 21

Education: Working on her Bachelor's at FIU, Already accepted to dental school during her sophomore year 

The reason why I decided to have Mahek as one of my models because she is one of the most hard working person I know. Already in her sophomore year in college (Florida International University) she was already accepted to her dream dental school (LECOM Dental School). Also, she has started her own non-profit called "Sweet Smiles" which aims to help educate people about oral hygiene. She has shadowed many places just in her first year of college and was even a certified CNA. Additionally, she put together a protest with Shayan for BLM in Coral Springs. I think she will be a great candidate for my magazine because she can be a role model for many teens wanting to go in the same route as her.

Sahar

Age: 27

Education: Graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University and now started her new job at Northwest Medical Hospital

The reason why I decided to chose Sahar as one of the model's for my magazine is because she went through ALOT to get her nursing degree. She has worked so hard to get through college and I can't think of anyone better to model for my magazine. Sahar did take a gap year in college but now she is working her dream job. I think Sahar is the perfect candidate because people that wish to go down the same route as her will see her as a role model. And by putting her in my magazine I can out out the message that not everyone has to go straight to college after high school and that there are alternative ways.
