So I was finally able to get my interview questions answered by my cover model and it went pretty well. To be completely honest I was only able to ask him some of the questions in person, however the rest he texted me. Like any interview I had to adjust his answers a little bit so it flowed well.

Here are the interview questions with the answers:

1.  When and why did you start @Broward.kicks?

"I started off Broward.kicks in 2016 from my very own bedroom. I think I just always loved expensive shoes but I could never afford them. Also, at that time the shoe business wasn't as popular as it is now so I thought it would be the perfect time to start buying, selling, and trading shoes for more shoes. However, before I even started to do this I worked at the mall which allowed me to save money."

2. How did you decide that you wanted to transition your instagram account into actually opening a store?

"After being on Instagram and other platforms for many years, I was able to grow on my own time and shape my business how I wanted. Then during the peak of the corona virus my business started to grow exponentially and it was booming. Also, during this time rent was very very cheap and I just decided to go in on a sneaker store at Pembroke Lakes Mall during the worlds most hardest times."

3. What steps did you take to open your store in an actual mall?

"So after I knew I wanted to open my store I had to do some research on how that would exactly work. I started off by contacting a leasing agent. Then I had to find the proper space where I knew my business would be able to thrive. I also had to get licenses and approvals from the city to operate as a store front. And after all of that I had to order the signs, materials, shelves, and contact construction. It was like building a house from scratch.

4. How did you come up with the name RARE?

"I was selling rare items as it was, the idea of RARE came up when everyone used to tell me that I always had the rarest collectible items."

5. Describe yourself in 3 words.

"Hustler, Motivated, and Goal Driven"

6. What was the first shoe you ever sold?

"Jordan Maroon 6"

7. Most memorable career moment that you've had so far.

"So far I would say when I first started making 5 figures a month at the age of 18."

8. What is the most challenging part of your career?

"I think that its very hard to constantly get supply coming in especially with growing demand. And most importantly its very difficult to keep up with the image and the hype of sneakers."

9. Top 3 must have shoes.

"Off White Jordan 1, Union Jordan 4, and Panda Nike Dunks"

10. What is your favorite shoe of all time?

"Mocha Jordan 1's by far"

11. What is one shoe you never want to see again?

"Never want to see another pair of Zebra Yeezy's again."

12. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

"I like to play video games, play basketball, and cook.

13. Top 3 things on your bucket list?

"I would have to say to travel the world, build a sneaker empire, and to become a pilot."

14. What are the next steps for your career?

"I would like to open up more store fronts around Florida, and hopefully the US."

15. What is some advice you can give to people also wanting to start their own business?

"Keep your head down and keep grinding. Don't let what other people think get in the way of your goals. Don't spend money on unnecessary items. Invest in assets not liabilities. And most importantly pursue something YOUR'E passionate about."

16. What is something that you'd like to be remembered for?

"For my drive and ambition to succeed at anything and everything I put my mind to and never taking no for an answer."

17. Why is RARE better compared to other shoe stores?

"RARE provides authentic sneakers to people who all walk the earth. Sneaker head or not, RARE will have shoes, clothes, and collectibles from very high reputable and rare brands from all over the world on a consistent and reasonable basis."

Here is the final draft for the double page spread  content:

I'm really happy with how it came out, it looks perfect and exactly how I wanted it.
