Photoshoot 1 Editing

So in my last blog post I mentioned that my model's ears were really red and I had no idea how to fix them. Well in my last class after much research and the help of my amazing teacher, we were able to fix his bright red ears.
This will be a short blog because I just had to show you the huge change I made and learned that would help me with the rest of my pictures and my whole magazine. My next blog posts will definitely be more detailed so just bear with me.
This was the before:
As you can see because of the sun, his ears are reflecting it and making them appear red.
Once I realized that my school computers had it I went straight onto adobe photoshop, however I have never used it before so I had to ask my teacher for help.
To edit this, my teacher and I went into adobe photoshop where we added an extra layer. Then we went over his ears with a brush tool using the original color of his ear.
However, the color was just on top and made it look like a 2 year old just colored over his ear. We had to make the type of brush different which was hard to find since there are so many, and lastly we had to change the opacity.
We brought the opacity down to about 80% which helped the color disperse and his ear to become less red.
